Twice a month, volunteers gather at the Community Food Redistribution Warehouse to pack boxes filled with fresh, nutritious food. These boxes are delivered to 250 families with primary or secondary school students in their households, helping to ease the pressure of grocery costs and ensure children have the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
The Student Food Box Program is a true community collaboration between Lionhearts Inc. and the Rotary Clubs in Kingston, with major funding from the United Way of KFL&A and the Kinsmen Club of Kingston.
When you "buy a box" through a monthly donation, you're not just filling a family's pantry-you're helping a student focus in class, a parent breathe a little easier, and a community come together to support its youngest members.
While our Student Food Box Program is part of a province-wide mission to support families, each city's approach reflects its own community's needs. Want to see how this program is reaching students and families where you live? Visit your city's page for local stories, stats, and delivery efforts.
